Hello, I am working as a Librarian at K.C. College of Engineering & Management Studies & Research, Thane. Today, I attended a hands-on workshop on Koha and Library Automation for beginners, and I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and I am really excited to apply what I learned today in my library. I will also recommend the Spoken Tutorial platform to my friends and colleagues in the library science field. Before attending the workshop, I was a bit nervous about being able to follow the practical exercises, but the staff was very helpful and supported us throughout the entire session. I find it very good that we can also post our questions and doubts on the Spoken Tutorial forum and get answers even after the workshop. Overall, today’s session was very informative, and I look forward to finding ways to implement the knowledge I gained in my library. Thank you. Deepali Girish Patil, Librarian K.C. Hello, I am Dr. Pravin Ghule, Assistant Librarian at Agasti Arts, Commerce, and Dadasaheb Rupwate Science College in Akole Ahilya Nagar. Our college is located in a rural and tribal area, and we haven't had much exposure to technology. However, after attending the workshop organized by the National Virtual Library of India and IIT Bombay, funded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, on Koha Library Automation for Beginners, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge. I strongly believe that the tutorials created by IIT Bombay through the Spoken Tutorial project will be immensely helpful in setting up and managing libraries in our tribal and rural areas using Koha software. I am truly grateful to the National Virtual Library of India, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and IIT Bombay for creating these valuable resources and making them accessible to everyone. Thank you. Dr. Pravin Ghule, Assistant Librarian at Agasti Arts, Commerce, and Dadasaheb Rupwate Science College in Akole Ahilya Nagar.

Hello, I am Santosh Dahiphale. I work in a public library. I have a bachelor’s degree in the arts and don’t have a strong technical background, and have limited knowledge of technology. Today, IIT Bombay organized a workshop on Koha software. After attending this workshop, I found that the tutorials from the Spoken Tutorial platform are very helpful. The tutorials were easy to understand, and after watching them, I was able to do the tasks on my own and complete the practical exercises after just one go. These tutorials will be highly beneficial not only for public libraries but also for college and university libraries looking to automate their systems. The hands-on nature of this workshop, organized by IIT Bombay, has been very helpful. Moving forward, I will definitely recommend these tutorials to public libraries and other institutions in the field to help them embrace technology and improve their library systems. Thank you. Hello, I am Vishwas Pawar, a former student of Shree Bholeshwar Sarvajanik Vachanalay, Savasani, Jalna, Maharashtra. I studied library science from V.N. Naik College. Earlier, I didn’t know how to use the Koha software properly. But today, I attended a workshop organized by IIT Bombay, which helped me a lot. I got hands-on practice and learned how to use the Koha software with confidence. Koha is a very useful tool for libraries. It saves time and helps provide better and faster service to library users. I am very thankful to the Government of India and IIT Bombay for this workshop. It is especially helpful for people working in village libraries. I feel more confident now, and I think more people in the library field should take this course. It is very useful and informative. Thank you. Mr. Vishwas Pawar, former student of Shree Bholeshwar Sarvajanik Vachanalay, Savasani, Jalna, Maharashtra. |
